GONDOLA ski

In the Cabriolet Gondola project Jesse Lee Wilson collaborated with System Architects and Lavada fabrication to re-imagine gondola design for Mountain Creek, a ski resort north of New York City. The innovative perforated pattern design solves the infrastructural problem of wind tilting the gondolas, allowing the resort to avoid a shutdown of services during high winds or winter storms, while the resort logo integration subtly reinforces the resort brand. The new gondolas also feature a reflective coating that creates an optical glow effect during nighttime programming, adding illumination to the slopes and an otherworldly experience for guests.
